Dear Kehilla,
We are getting very close to the holiest day of the year, Yom Kippur.
We are all waiting with all our hearts to be able to fast on Yom Kippur, and to be able to daven in the beautiful minyanim organized for our kehilla.
At the same time, it is important to remember that man's role in the world is to do Hashem’s will.
Therefore, if there aresoldiers or medical cases for which we need to eat on Yom Kippur, our duty is to eat, because the same Creator of the world who commanded us to fast on Yom Kippur, commanded us that those who need to eat on Yom Kippur, must do so.
In such cases, precisely by eating on Yom Kippur, we do Hashem’s will.
