Dear community,
Thoughts from the sixth day.
Background:
Over the past week I found myself getting many kind messages, with the main Bracha being: “Good Health". I have also found myself wishing people “Only good Health” countless times.
Insight:
Health is the foundation of all things. Without health nothing can be done.
It seems to me that one can look at health from two sides.
On the one hand health is a goal in itself, but on the other hand health is not a goal but a means. We want to be healthy in order to study Torah, to daven, to enjoy
our family, etc.
When I was younger, I would think to myself why not invest 100% of the state’s budget in health, after all health is פיקוח נפש, and then I realized that health is the most important foundation in this world,
but on top of that there is life itself.
In the Bracha of "רפאנו" we ask Hashem for Refua, but add immediately afterwards: ”כי תהילתנו אתה" - we want to be healthy in order to tell the glory of Hashem.
Wishing everyone good health so that we can live a life of closeness to Hashem
