Wednesday, November 11th, at 8:30 PM, there will be a Zoom presentation in
English by Marion Blumenthal Lazan, a Holocaust Survivor, and world renown
author of the book Four Perfect Pebbles which tells the story of her family’s
survival against all odds.
The lecture is in memory of Ileana and Jerry Glazer's mothers, Marion Adler, z"l and Peggy Glazer, z"l
Marion Blumenthal Lazan has dedicated her time to ensuring that today’s generation hear first-hand accounts of that dark time in our history. She has spoken to over one million people in 41 states and 5 countries about her story of determination, perseverance, faith, and above all, hope in surviving Westerbork, Bergen-Belsen and the “Lost/Death Train”. Marion’s Triumph, her documentary video, has aired on PBS stations nationally several times.
Among the citations she has received:
- A high school in Germany was named in her honor
- Keys to the cities of Galesburg, IL, Owensboro, KY, and Idaho Falls, ID have been given to her.
- The University of the State of New York awarded her the Yavner Citizenship Award from for distinguished contributions to teach the Holocaust and other violations of human rights.
- She was named a New York State Senate “Woman of Distinction.”
